Capt. Chris Siess, Presenting Tips and Tactics for Redfish on the Fly

Chris began his guiding career with Aspen Outfitting Company in 2010. After spending a few seasons in the Rocky Mountains, he returned to Virginia to guide in his home state for numerous species including Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Pickerel, and Bowfin in freshwater. He also guided for Striped Bass, Redfish and Speckled Trout in the Chesapeake Bay.

Chris developed an addiction to Redfish and in 2020, he moved his business full time to Cape Lookout NC, to chase the wide variety of species that call its crystal clear waters home. Chris specializes in sight casting to shallow water Redfish, or Red Drum as they are locally called, along with False Albacore, Speckled Trout, Flounder and more.

Chris has been fly fishing and fly tying since the age of nine, spending his childhood catching bass in Virginia farm ponds and tying flies with hair from the family Border Collies. He has designed over a dozen specialty patterns for a variety of fresh and saltwater species, traveled all over the country to fish, and still loves tying with dog hair. Please join us for this event on tips and tactics for Redfish, and many other saltwater species, on the fly. The presentation will also include a saltwater fly tying demonstration and giveaways!
