Swap • Silent Charity Auction • Meet the Guides • BBQ • Local Beer • Live Music
Join Aspen Outfitting in Woody Creek on Sunday, May 17 from 10 AM to 4 PM for the 4th Annual Fly Fishing Gear Swap — a Roaring Fork Valley community event featuring a gear swap, charity auction, BBQ, local beer, live music, and the chance to meet the guides. Our gear swap has become a spring tradition in the Roaring Fork Valley — a day when guides, locals, and anglers from around the valley gather to swap gear, share stories, and kick off another fishing season together.
Whether you’re clearing out equipment that’s been collecting dust or looking to get into fly fishing without paying full price, the swap is a great place to find incredible deals and connect with the local fly-fishing community.
You’ll find one of the largest selections of consigned fly-fishing gear in the valley, with great deals on used rods, reels, waders, boots, packs, tying equipment, and more.
In addition to the swap, we’ll be running a Spring Sale all weekend (May 15–17) with great deals on select new gear.
Have gear you’re not using?
Bring it by the Aspen Outfitting location at the St. Regis and we’ll help find it a new home. If you’d like to arrange a drop-off time, just give us a call at (970) 925-3406. Consignment gear will be accepted through May 1st.
How it works:
Bring your gear to Aspen Outfitting and we’ll evaluate it, price it fairly, and get it ready to sell. When your item sells, you’ll receive 80% of the sale price in cash, or 110% in store credit.
We accept just about anything fly-fishing related — rods, reels, waders, vests, packs, tying gear, and more.
Come by, find some gear, meet the guides, and celebrate the start of summer with the local fishing community.
Silent Auction Supporting The Redside Foundation
We’ll also be hosting a silent auction benefiting the Redside Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of professional guides in our valley.
Through confidential counseling services, community programs, and expanded support, Redside helps guides navigate the real challenges behind the lifestyle, from financial stress to isolation in the off-season. Your participation helps ensure guides have access to the support they need to stay healthy, resilient, and doing the work they love.
