What started as a gear swap has grown into something a bit bigger.

This year, it’s turning into more of a community river rally — bringing together the people who are out on the river every day with the groups working to protect it.

Join us to shop and sell gear, grab some food, and connect with the local fishing community as we head into the season, all tied back to the river we spend our time on.

If you’re new to fly fishing, this is one of the easiest ways to get introduced — to the gear, the river, and the people who know it best. It’s a great place to ask questions, learn a bit, and start getting a feel for what’s involved.

If you’ve been doing it for years, you already know the deal — good gear, good people, and a chance to catch up before the season really gets going.

With water conditions likely to be a factor this year, it feels like a good time to pay attention to what’s happening out there — and what we can all do to take care of it.

You’ll find one of the largest selections of consigned fly-fishing gear in the valley, with great deals on used rods, reels, waders, boots, packs, tying equipment… you name it. If you’ve got gear collecting dust, or you’re looking to pick up something solid without paying full price, this is the place to do it.

We’ll also be running a Spring Sale all weekend (May 15–17) on select new gear.

Have gear you’re not using?

Bring it by Aspen Outfitting and we’ll help find it a new home. If you’d like to arrange a drop-off time, just give us a call at (970) 925-3406. Consignment gear will be accepted through the beginning of May.

We’ll evaluate it, price it fairly, and handle the sale. When it sells, you’ll receive:

  • 80% in cash, or
  • 110% in store credit

We accept just about anything fly-fishing related — rods, reels, waders, vest, packs, tying gear, and more

We’ll also be hosting a silent auction benefiting the Redside Foundation, which supports the mental health and well-being of professional guides in our valley.

Come by and check out items from local manufacturers, artists, and brands; including The Aspen Hat Lady, Caitlin Dunn Jewelry, Wyatt Outdoors, Ross Reels, Scott Fly Rods, and more.

Guides are the backbone of this community. They take care of everyone else — it’s worth showing up for them.

If you’re a vendor or local business and would like to contribute an item, reach out… we’d love to include you!

We’re a second-generation Aspen outfitter — started in 1969 — and our guides are on this river every day. This event is a chance to bring the community together, not just to fish, but to take care of the river and the people who depend on it. Around here, word travels fast. When something matters, people show up.
